QUEENS, N.Y. (July 23, 2015) - The St. John's women's golf team was recognized by the Golf Coaches Association (WCGA) yesterday for its excellent work in the classroom, posting the seventh highest GPA in the nation.
"I am very proud of our team's accomplishments in the classroom," head coach Ambry Bishop said. "They work very hard and always make academics a top priority. This honor truly reflects their dedication to represent themselves and our University at a high level in the classroom and on the golf course."
The WCGA acknowledges the top-25 women's collegiate golf programs with the highest GPA average amongst its team's student-athletes during the 2014-15 season.
Collectively, six members from the Red Storm posted an impressive 3.771 team GPA. St. John's heads into the offseason with much to look forward to after losing only one senior from a squad that placed fourth at the BIG EAST Championship.
