Women’s Golf to Compete at Princeton Invitational

The Red Storm placed fourth in its 2026-27 season debut
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's golf team will return to action this weekend to compete in the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club.
The Red Storm is slated to compete in the 54-hole event scheduled for Friday and Saturday. The tournament was moved up due to expected inclement weather beginning on Saturday.
The Johnnies will compete in the 13-team field comprised of- Brown, Dartmouth, Rutgers, Penn, Boston University, Seton Hall, Yale, Harvard, Columbia, UAlbany, Georgetown and the hosts Princeton.
The Red Storm line-up will feature- Lily Huynh, Chiara Pecchinotti, Laura Mizlerova, Taylor Hale, Pihla Pennanen and Kirsten Lee.
In the first event of the 2026-27 season, St. John's finished fourth in the nine team field at The Charge at Quail Valley in Littlestown, Pa. The Red Storm carded a 42-over, 906 (301-293-312) over the past two days at Quail Valley Golf Club. The Johnnies impressed in the second round posting a 5-over, 293, to take second place heading into the final round.
Huynh led the charge for the Red Storm tying for sixth place in the 55-golfer field. The junior recorded an 8-over, 224 (78-72-74). In her St. John's debut, Pecchinotti shined on day one logging an even par, 144, on Monday. The Rome, Italy native shot a team-low even par, 70, and ended tied for 13th place with a 10-over, 226.
The Johnnies will compete in the Princeton Invitational for the sixth straight season, dating back to 2021. Last year, the Red Storm finished in seventh place at the event with Mizerlov pacing the squad with a 17th place finish.
Following this weekend's action, the Red Storm will head to Upstate New York for the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational at Normanside Country Club on Oct. 11-12.
