St. John's Announces Fall Softball Schedule

QUEENS, N.Y. -- For the first time since appearing in the program's first-ever NCAA Regional in May, St. John's softball returns to the diamond as head coach Amy Kvilhaug announced the fall slate for the 2015 season.
The fall schedule will feature eight games against seven opponents over a four week span beginning with a home doubleheader on Saturday, Sept. 19. The Johnnies will host Iona at 11 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. showdown against Sacred Heart.
The next day (Sept. 20), St. John's will face off against Wagner in a doubleheader with first pitch set for 11 a.m.
After a two-week break, the Red Storm will welcome Monmouth and Fairleigh Dickinson to Queens on Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
The fall wraps up Oct. 11 when LIU Brooklyn and Stony Brook travel to Red Storm Field for a pair of games starting at 11 a.m.
St. John's put together a historic 2015 season that included the program's both first-ever BIG EAST regular season and tournament titles. The reigning conference champs bring back nine starters from a year ago, including BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year Tori Free.
