QUEENS, N.Y. - For the third week in a row, Rachel Daly has been given an honorable mention nod to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.
Daly continued her stellar play of late this weekend against Seton Hall in the Red Storm's BIG EAST Opener, tallying two goals in a 3-0 victory for St. John's. Both of her goals were worthy of the highlight reel, as her first came off a diving header and her second was the result of a left footed blast from the top of the box that nestled just underneath the cross bar.
With her pair of tallies, Daly is now tied for the first place with Adriana Viola on the St. John's career scoring list with 40. She is also just one point shy of tying Viola for the top spot in that category. Her two goals also made it three multi-goal games in a row for the Harrogate, England, native, tying the longest such streak of her career. For her career, Daly has scored more than one goal in a game on 13 occasions.
Daly and the Red Storm return to action on Thursday night, traveling to Butler for a 7 p.m. match with the Bulldogs.
