St. John's Readies for The Connecticut Cup

QUEENS, N.Y. -- After a three-week training break, the St. John's men's golf team returns to action on Monday when the Red Storm travels to Ellington, Conn., to participate in The Connecticut Cup.
About the Tournament
Hosted at the Ellington Ridge Country Club, The Connecticut Cup will feature 36 holes of play on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. The tournament will be played on a par-72, 6,936-yard course.
Leading the Red Storm will be Troy Evans, Gerald Mackedon, Kevin King, Seung Yub Baek and Giuseppe Truglio.
Last Time Out
The Red Storm placed 9th out of 19 teams three weeks ago at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. Yub Baek and Conforti both finished at one-over 145 to tie for 26th place in the 36-hole tournament.
About the Field
The field will consist of 16 teams: Binghamton, Boston College, Bryant, Canisius, Central Connecticut, Cornell, Colgate, College Club, Fairfield, Hartford, LIU Brooklyn, Rider, Sacred Heart, Siena, St. John's and UConn.
