HARRISON, N.Y. - St. John's men's tennis defeated Binghamton (4-2) on Sunday, 5-2, to notch its seventh-straight win and improve its record to 8-1 on the season.
Daniel Skripnik and Roberto Livi started the Red Storm on a high-note with an impressive 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles. The senior duo has played doubles together in every match this season and is currently 6-2 in doubles play. The No. 49 ranked doubles team of Lucas Hejhal and Vaidik Munshaw would provide the doubles point for the Johnnies with a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles. They are now 7-1 when playing together this season.
In singles play, Andrei Crapcenco defeated Inigo Saez 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 6 position, earning the freshman his seventh-consecutive singles victory. At No. 4 singles, the veteran Munshaw downed Valentin Bouchet in straight-sets for his second win of the day. The senior Livi would clinch St. John's seventh-straight victory with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Thomas Caputo at the No. 3 spot. Dusan Vukicevic would remain undefeated in singles play with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at the No. 5 singles position.
