Lauren Zick Earns First BIG EAST Weekly Honor

QUEENS, N.Y. -- Sophomore outfielder Lauren Zick made her first appearance on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday following an impressive showing at the plate in this past weekend's Hofstra Invitational.
Zick batted .500 over four games, including a 2-for-3 performance with a stolen base against Connecticut on Sunday. The Sugar Grove, Ill., native hit safely in all four games and was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts.
Five St. John's players have been rewarded with conference weekly honors this season.
The Red Storm (8-12) makes its home debut on Wednesday when the team takes on Stony Brook at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday's matchup will be televised on ESPN3 or via the WatchESPN app with Ralph Bednarczyk and D.J. Sixsmith providing coverage.
