Anna Kim Wins Hoya Invitational by 10 Strokes

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - St. John's women's golfer Anna Kim won her third tournament of the season on Tuesday, taking medalist honors at the Hoya Invitational at the Four Streams golf course in Beallsville, Md.
Kim registered the best second and third round scores of the tournament to finish with a seven-over total of 223, 10 strokes better than the next best score. The senior from Toronto now has five top-five finishes this season to go with four career medals.
Despite the second best team score of the day, the Red Storm remained in fifth place with a total score of 329-315-326--970 (+106) to finish in front of Marshall, Boston University, Quinnipiac, Monmouth and Georgetown's B-squad.
Kirsty Beckwith claimed her third top-10 finish of the year at 23-over. The freshman carded a 78-79-82--239 to close out the tournament tied for eighth.
Saskia Sterud turned in a 12th place tie, her second best showing of the season. Sterud recorded a 77-78-85--240 (+24) for the tournament to help the Red Storm finish in the top half of the standings.
Princeton captured the team title with a three round score of 307-313-319--939 (+75).
The Red Storm will enjoy some time off before the BIG EAST Championship tees off on April 22. The three-day tournament will take place at the Callawassie Island Club in S.C.
