Livi and Crapcenco Sweep March ECAC Monthly Awards

QUEENS, N.Y. ââ'¬" Roberto Livi and Andrei Crapcenco have been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Corvias Men's Tennis Players of the Month, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Livi was been named the ECAC Division I Player of the Month for March, while Crapcenco took home ECAC Division I Rookie on the Month honors.
Livi went undefeated in singles play in the month of March, going 5-0. In doubles play, the senior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., went 2-3 for an overall record of 7-3 in March. He currently holds a 24-11 overall record with a 13-4 mark in singles play. He also owns wins over opponents from ranked Cornell and Harvard in singles play.
Crapcenco went undefeated in March, going 2-0 in both of his singles matches. He recorded wins over Army and clinched a match victory with a come-from-behind, three-set win over Yale on the road. Crapcenco is 14-2 in singles play and had a 12-match win streak earlier this season. Two of those wins came in the form of straight-sets against opponents from nationally-ranked Cornell and Harvard.
St. John's went an impressive 4-1 during the month of March including victories over Ivy League opponents Brown and Yale. On Tuesday, the team defeated NJIT, 6-1, to tie a program-record with its 17th win of the season. It is the third time in program history that the men's tennis team has reached 17 wins, all under Head Coach Eric Rebhuhn.
