Alexis Urbanski Named Assistant Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson

QUEENS, N.Y. - On Monday, former St. John's women's soccer player Alexis Urbanski began her collegiate coaching career as she signed on to be an assistant coach under Eric Teepe at Fairleigh Dickinson in Hackensack, N.J.
After spending two seasons at Seton Hall, Urbanski transferred to St. John's and suited up in 39 games for the Red Storm over the course of two years, earning the captain's armband in her final season in Queens. The defender played in 19 games and made 12 starts during the 2015 campaign and helped lead a back line that anchored the Johnnies to a school-record 15 wins and 12 shutouts.
Last season, the Aberdeen, N.J., native played and started all 20 games for Head Coach Ian Stone and helped lead a defensive unit that was among the nation's best all season. The Red Storm defense allowed just 12 goals, the best mark in the BIG EAST. Additionally, the Johnnies posted a .565 team goals-against average which ranked 13th in the country. Urbanski also chipped in on the offensive end, scoring the game-winning goal in the 2016 season opener against Central Connecticut.
