Shee and Wang Finish Top Ten After First Two Rounds

CANTON, Mass. - Sophomores Kaitleen Shee and Linda Wang saw success for the Red Storm, carding a two-round score of a five-over 149 on the first day of the Boston College Intercollegiate, propelling them to share of ninth place.
Shee registered her best performance in round one of the tournament, recording four birdies, three that came on the back nine to notch a first round 74. Wang shot terrific in round two with a tournament low 73 for the Johnnies to advance 11 spots on the leader board.
Junior Lydia Kim wasn't available due to illness, as a result freshman Andrea Sanchez played in the No. 4 spot.
Sanchez carded a 158 (+14) followed by sophomore Sofie Huseby who shot a 163 (+19). Rounding out the scoring was junior Alejandra Sanchez who registered a 164 (+20). Overall, the Red Storm carded a 617 (+17) and enter Monday's final round eighth overall out of 16 programs.
As a team, Richmond shot a three-over 592 on the day to enter the final round atop the standings. For individuals, Heather Munro of Elon and Bibilani Liu of Boston College begin Monday sharing the top spot on the leader board after firing a 144 to finish the first two rounds at level par.
The Johnnies conclude the tournament Monday with the third and final round which starts with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
