St. John's Concludes Play at Yale Spring Invitational

Final Results
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The St. John's men's golf team carded a two-round 611 to finish in 14th place at the Yale Spring Invitational on Saturday.
Gerald Mackedon paced the field for the Red Storm recording a first round 78 followed by a team-best 71. The sophomore's final round performance was highlighted by three-straight birdies on the back nine to help the Port Jefferson native finish in the top-25.
Andrew Baek drained a pair of birdies on the final round to post a four-over 74. The junior recorded an overall 153 over two rounds of play.
Austin Briggs, Matthew Sweeney, and Ross Moore closed out scoring for the Red Storm turning a two-round 154, 163, and 165, respectively.
James Smoot and Jonathan Spicci competed in the individual portion of the tournament, shooting a total 159 and 180.
Tennessee took home the team title with a total score of 283-282-565 (+2), to finish 11 strokes ahead of second place Yale.
St. John's returns to the greens on Monday when the team travels to North Kingstown, R.I., to compete in the two-day Rhode Island Invitational at the Quidnessett Golf Course.
