Vashistha’s victories over opponents from UT Chattanooga and Memphis boost him to the Qualifying Draw
TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 6, 2019) – On Sunday, St. John's junior Aditya Vashistha advanced to the Round of 16 in pre-qualifying with two singles victories at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships at the Case Tennis Center.
After dropping the first set of his opening match, the junior stormed back to claim a three-set, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Tennessee Chattanooga's Tomas Rodriguez.
Later in the afternoon, the Bikaner, India, native dropped David Stevenson of Memphis in straight sets to move on to the Round of 16, 6-4, 6-3.
The ITA All-American Championships continue on Monday and run through next Sunday, Oct. 13.
