St. John’s to Host Winter Softball Clinic in 2020

Bob Guerriero sets Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 as date for the Red Storm Winter Softball Clinic
QUEENS, N.Y. (Dec. 13, 2019) – St. John's softball Head Coach Bob Guerriero has announced that the Red Storm will host its Winter Softball Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. John's University.
The clinic will welcome any player in grades 9-12 looking to enhance the necessary skills to play at the highest level in the NCAA.
The one-day clinic will cover defensive and offensive aspects of the game as well as pitching and catching under the guidance of Guerriero's current staff and players.
Along with learning and progressing defensive skills, participants will be assisted in hitting techniques, be put through a hitting circuit and have the opportunity to face live pitching from other campers, alongside St. John's current student-athletes.
Aspiring collegiate pitchers will also have the opportunity to improve their fundamentals and overall development with the Red Storm staff.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the cost is $135 per participant for the defensive and hitting sessions of the camp. The cost will be $160 per participant to enter the hitting, defensive and pitching sections of the clinic. All participants are asked to bring their own equipment (i.e. bats, gloves, catchers gear, etc.) and ensure they arrive 45 minutes prior to the 9:00 a.m. start time.
