Madison Morris Tabbed to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. (May 6, 2019) – After her dominant performance against Butler to clinch the conference's regular-season title, senior Madison Morris has been named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced on Monday.
The Hampton, Va., native picked up her third weekly honor roll of the season after shutting out the Bulldogs on Sunday. She has also been named to the accolade seven times in her career. In four seasons with the Red Storm, Morris has earned a combined 13 BIG EAST weekly awards as both the pitcher of the week and as an honor roll selection.
Morris shined in her 18th win of the season, allowing no runs on six hits and fanning six to help clinch the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Johnnies' ace has been victorious in 12-straight starts and has posted an undefeated record in conference play (11-0).
St. John's battles for the BIG EAST Championship on Friday, taking on No. 4 Villanova in Rosemont at 1 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 2.
