The Johnnies controlled the third set, holding the lead throughout the majority of the frame since breaking a 1-1 tie early on. With strong offensive pressure from Mikelova, Alexakou and Maria Angelica Palacios, combining for 11 of the team's 14 kills in the third before the Red Storm closed out the match by a comfortable margin, 25-15.
