The redshirt sophomore scored a team-high five goals in Saturday’s road victory over LIU
QUEENS, N.Y. (Feb. 24, 2020) – St. John's attackman Jonathan Huber earned a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday. The redshirt sophomore received his recognition after scoring a team-high five goals in Saturday's road victory over LIU in just his second game of the 2020 campaign.
Â
After missing the first two games of the season due to injury, the attackman's five goals against LIU were a personal best this season. All five of his tallies came in the first half of Saturday's win over LIU. In two games played this season, Huber is fourth on the Red Storm with six goals scored and fifth in shots taken (18).
Â
This is the second BIG EAST weekly award for the Great River, N.Y., native. The redshirt sophomore was selected as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week last season after scoring a team-high five goals on the road against Hartford on Feb. 16, 2019. The attackman finished the game with a conference-high five goals, dished two assists, and fired 12 shots to lead the Red Storm to its first win of the 2019 season.
 Â
Huber and the Johnnies return to action in Ann Arbor, Mich., for the first time in program history on Saturday, Feb. 29, as St. John's will battle Michigan at 3 p.m.
