St. John’s Women’s Golf Inks Amy Kim

Kim will join the Johnnies in the fall of 2020
St. John's women's golf head coach Ambry Bishop announced the signing of Amy Kim, who will join the Johnnies in the fall of 2020.
"I am really excited for Amy to join the team next season," Coach Bishop said. "She displays the enthusiasm and excitement to be part of our program and attend St. John's University. I look for her to be a great asset to our team."
Kim hails from Fullerton, Calif., where she is a third year captain at Troy High School. Last April, Kim placed second at the AJGA Preview in San Bernardino, Calif., turning in scores of 75 and 77. That same year, Kim Alhambra placed second at the Spring Classic #2, with a score of 74. Kim also finished fourth at the SCPGA 2-Day at Morongo, firing off a 76 and 73 at the 36-hole event.
In addition to her individual accolades, Kim helped Troy High School finish second at the CIF State Girls High School Championship.
Kim's talents go beyond the course, as she has excelled in the classroom over her high school career. The Fullerton native is a Troy Tech scholar athlete.
