Women’s Golf Concludes Day One of Lady Blue Hen Invitational

Kweon and Kim lead the way for the Johnnies
The St. John's women's golf team finished day one of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, posting a 36-hole total of 610 to sit seventh overall in the standings at Rehoboth Beach Country Club on Saturday.
Princeton leads the way after day one, shooting a two-round 592 to sit two-stokes clear of second-place Richmond.
Leading the way for St. John's is senior Jessie Kweon and redshirt freshman Amy Kim. The Red Storm duo sits in a tie for 10th place after turning in a two-round score of 5-over 149 each. Kweon drained seven birdies on the afternoon while Kim fired off six.
Graduate student Andrea Sanchez closed out day one of the event with scores of 77 and 79. The Cancun native's day-one effort was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 13th hole.
Junior Cloe Clocchiatti finished two-shots back of Sanchez, carding a 78 and 80.
Sophomore Angelica Kusnowo rounded out scoring for the Red Storm, shooting an 81 and 78 on the afternoon.
St. John's will return to action tomorrow morning for the final round of play. All teams are set to tee off at 9 a.m. in a shotgun start.
