St. John’s will not compete in BIG EAST Championship due to COVID-19 protocols
The St. John's Department of Athletics announced the Red Storm men's golf team has withdrawn from the BIG EAST Tournament following a positive COVID-19 test result within the program and contact tracing protocols.
"We are all deeply heartbroken that our men's golf team will not be able to participate in the BIG EAST Tournament and compete for a championship," said Athletic Director Mike Cragg. "Our student-athletes have put in endless hard work but their health, and the public health and safety must take priority."
The Division I men's golf selection show for the 2021 NCAA Championship will air on Wednesday, May 5 at 2 p.m. on the Golf Channel.
