Red Storm Adds Doubleheader with Delaware

Johnnies will hit the road to battle the Blue Hens on May 8
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's softball team added a doubleheader to its schedule on May 8 against Delaware to close out the 2021 regular season, Head Coach Bob Guerriero announced on Monday morning.
The Red Storm and Blue Hens will square off in the twin bill down in Newark, Del. at the Delaware Softball Diamond. A time for the matchup is still to be determined.
The Johnnies were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader that weekend with Georgetown in what would have been their final BIG EAST series of the season, but the Hoyas are not participating in the 2021 softball campaign.
The Red Storm is 5-2 all time against Delaware, taking the most recent meeting between the two teams back in 2018, 8-2. The Blue Hens are 19-6 overall in 2021, including a 9-5 mark in CAA play.
