Madsen Brothers to Compete in USILA Senior All-Star Game

Joe and Mike Madsen join some of the nation’s top seniors in Rhode Island
QUEENS, N.Y. (May 27, 2021) – After leading the Red Storm's offensive attack for the last five seasons, recent graduates Joe Madsen and Mike Madsen have been selected to represent St. John's in the upcoming United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) D1/D2 Senior All-Star Game on Friday evening at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.
Admission into the game is free of charge. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Madsens will join more than 100 seniors representing all three NCAA divisions. The brothers are coming off a solid season that resulted in spots on the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Joe compiled 19 goals and eight assists in 11 starts this season. The graduate student etched his name into the Red Storm record books, finishing his career ranked second on the program's all-time goals list (121) and fifth in points (159). His brother Mike collected 17 goals and nine assists and tailed at least one point in 10 of the 11 Red Storm's games. The graduate student will leave the St. John's program ranked sixth all-time in goals (92), tied for seventh in assists (46), and sixth in points (138).
The last Johnnie to participate in the USILA All-Star Game was Aidan Marron in 2019. The Madsen brothers will be the 16th and 17 athletes in program history to compete in the event.
