St. John’s Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honor

The Red Storm posted a 3.48 cumulative GPA in the fall
QUEENS, N.Y. (Jan. 31, 2022)- The St. John's cross country team has been named to United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Team for the second consecutive season.
As a team, the Red Storm posted a 3.48 cumulative GPA to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team alongside 167 other Division I cross country programs. To qualify, teams must have earned a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
"I'm really proud the way our women were able to achieve at a high level with all the challenges they were presented with," Head Coach Elliott Blount said. "Graduating students-athletes is priority number one, so this is really important to us."
This award marks the 13th time since 2007 the Red Storm has been recognized by the USTFCCCA. NC State was named the Women's Scholar Team of the Year in NCAA Division I Cross Country with a cumulative GPA of 3.58.
