Red Storm return to action on Oct. 30 for the BIG EAST Cross Country Championship
BETHPAGE, N.Y. – The St. John's cross country team competed at the 2026 ECAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at Bethpage State Park.
Saturday's competition served as a preview of the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, that will also be held at Bethpage State Park. The Red Storm finished in 24th place, scoring 726 points as a team.
Naiara Garcia-Moreno was the top finisher for the Johnnies, completing the 6k race with a time of 22-minutes, 6.20 seconds. The junior moved up 24 spots over the final 2,000-meters to finish in 96th in a field of over 170 runners.
She was followed by Attoya Harvey with a time of 22:50.90, and Jimena Aguliar rounded out the top three runners for St. John's with a time of 24:18.10.
The Red Storm continued championship racing at the 2026 BIG EAST Cross Country Championship, presented by Jeep. Start times from Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va., on Oct. 30 will be announced at a later date.
