Four Johnnies finish in the top 10 at Saucon Valley Country Club
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Anchored by a quartet of top-10 finishes, the St. John's women's golf team wrapped its fall slate with its best result of the season, a third-place showing at the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club's Grace Course.
The Red Storm finished the two-day event at +27, just one shot behind Fairleigh Dickinson in second. Navy claimed team title honors with a 36-hole score of 18 over.
St. John's was the only team to place four golfers inside the top 10.
Jessie Kweon carded a Tuesday 74 to finish the tournament at one over in solo possession of third place.
After shooting an even-par 72 on Monday, Karen Beglin posted 15 pars on her way to a second-round 75, good enough for a solo-fifth finish.
Cloe Clocchiatti was one of just seven players in the field to shoot even par or better in the face of some final-round conditions, going 36-36 to finish at an even-par 72. Her four-over showing for the tournament secured a sixth-place tie for the senior.
Competing as an individual, Laia Barro also carded a final-round 72 to finish in a tie for ninth. The senior jumped 19 spots on the leaderboard between rounds one and two.
Angelica Kusnowo (84-82, T61) and Amy Kim (90-79, T68) rounded out the Red Storm contingent.
