St. John’s Wraps Up 2022 Season at BIG EAST Cross Country Championships

Claire Cushing logged a top-50 finish on Saturday
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- The St. John's cross country team concluded its 2022 season at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships at Mark Coogan Cross Country Course on Saturday morning. The Red Storm finished 11th as a team.
In her final race of the campaign, senior Claire Cushing paced the Johnnies on the course, posting a 6k time of 22:20, averaging six minutes per mile to finish 47th overall.
Freshman Ana Markovina set a new personal best in the 6k on Saturday, crossing the finish line at 22:51 to establish a new career mark by more than seven seconds.
Hannah Huleatt grabbed her second top-three finish within the squad, tallying a mark of 24:01 in her third conference championship meet.
In her first BIG EAST Championships, Ezgi Yasar traversed Mark Coogan Cross Country Course to log a time of 24:42 to finish a strong freshman season for the Red Storm.
Tiffany-Ann Matturro rounded out the St. John's scorers on Saturday morning with a time of 25:35.
Gabriella Caronia and Jenna D'Onfrio posted marks of 25:37 and 25:46, respectively.
