The Red Storm will look to extend its non-conference winning streak to 25 games against the Wildcats
QUEENS, N.Y. – Coming off a stellar performance against DePaul in its BIG EAST opener on Wednesday, the St. John's men's basketball team will look to extend its non-conference win streak at Carnesecca Arena to 25 games on Saturday when it hosts New Hampshire. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on FS2 with Scott Graham and Jim Spanarkel on the call from Queens.

After suffering its first setback on the road at No. 23 Iowa State, the Red Storm (9-1, 1-0 BIG EAST) bounced back in commanding fashion on Wednesday against the Blue Demons, rolling to a wire-to-wire 86-67 victory. St. John's senior center Joel Soriano registered his NCAA-leading eighth double-double of the year with 17 points and 14 boards. The Johnnies scored the first 12 points of the game and never looked back, doubling their advantage and leading by as many as 24 in the second half en route to their seventh-straight win in Queens.
In the seven wins at home this season, St. John's has registered 85.7 points and 43.6 rebounds per game. In addition, the Johnnies have held the opposition to 67.0 points and forced 15.7 turnovers per contest inside Carnesecca Arena.
Saturday's contest will mark just the second all-time meeting between St. John's and New Hampshire. On Nov. 12, 2019, St. John's defeated the Wildcats, 74-61, in the third game of the Mike Anderson Era in Queens. LJ Figueroa registered 25 points while Julian Champagnie nearly posted a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds for the Red Storm.
New Hampshire (3-5, 0-0 America East) is coming off a 74-71 overtime win at Boston College, snapping a 15-game losing streak to the Eagles. Junior forward Clarence Daniels delivered a 34-point, 14-board performance against the Eagles, including a game-tying triple with 1.3 seconds remaining in regulation.
Daniels' 34 points against Boston College pushed him from ninth to first in America East scoring, averaging 16.8 points to go with the nation's fourth-best rebounding average (11.8 rpg).
After Saturday's matchup with New Hampshire, St. John's will not return to its home court in Queens until a Dec. 28 contest with Xavier at 9 p.m. on FS1.
