St. John’s Tied for First After Day One at Richmond Tri-Match

Angelica Kusnowo sits in a tie for third place overall after one round
RICHMOND (Feb. 27, 2022) – The St. John's women's golf team finished in a tie for first place at the Richmond Tri-Match following the first day of competition at Independence Golf Course.
"It was good to get back out on the course after the winter layoff," head coach Ambry Bishop-Santillo. "Angie had a great 1-over par round. Andrea and Jessie turned in solid scores as well. We look forward to getting back out on the course tomorrow and continue to make improvements each round."
As a team, the Johnnies recorded a combined score of 303 following the first round.
Leading the Red Storm with a 73 was Angelica Kusnowo, who is locked in a tie for third place. Andrea Sanchez followed closely behind, tied for fifth place, with a 75. Jessie Kweon rounds out the Johnnies in the top-10, carding 76 to hold sole possession of eighth place.
Amy Kim recorded a 79 for the day to tie for 12th while Cloe Clocchiatti rounded out the St. John's squad, finishing the day in a tie for 16th with round of 80.
Competing as Individuals, Laia Barro tied for 12th with a 79. Karen Beglin recorded an 80 in the first round, also ranking 16th.
The final round of competition from Independence Golf Course begins at 11 a.m. on Monday.
