St. John’s Wraps Up Successful Evening at Army Twilight Meet

Antonia Frazier and Zamira Ysaac each collected a win on Thursday
WEST POINT, N.Y.- The St. John's track and field team concluded competition at the Army Twilight Meet, notching two wins and multiple top-three finishes across 15 events.
Both wins for the Red Storm came in the hurdles events as Antonia Frazier claimed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time 14.99, more than half a second faster than the second-place finisher. Zamira Ysaac picked up her third win of the season in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.76.
Elsewhere on the track, Dolce McPherson enjoyed an outstanding day, finishing second in the 100 and 200-meter dashes with times of 12.70 and 26.54, respectively. Her result in the 100 meters is a new personal best for the freshman.
Fellow sprinter Kara Sampath grabbed fifth place in the 400-meter dash, posting a time of 1:04.97.
In the distance events, Mia Forster captured third place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:09.43 while Claire Cushing finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run, logging a time of 4:42.62.
Rushellee Jones notched another top-three finish for the Red Storm in the high jump, clearing the 1.57-meter bar. Esmeralda Reyes and Nina D'Amato posted strong results in the javelin throw with tosses of 39.16 and 36.54 meters, respectively. Reyes finished third while D'Amato captured fourth.
St. John's will be back in action next Saturday when it hosts the Tom Farrell Classic at DaSilva Memorial Field.
