Jessie Kweon Earns All-BIG EAST Honors

The Little Neck, N.Y., native received recognition from the conference following a stellar season
NEW YORK – St. John's women's golf's Jessie Kweon was named to the ALL-BIG EAST Team on Tuesday afternoon. The senior was one of seven golfers given the distinction by the conference.
The Little Neck, N.Y., native was a force on the Red Storm squad, leading the team in seven events during the 2021-22 campaign. The senior ended the year with a 75.22 stroke average to pace the Johnnies during the year.
Kweon took home medalist honors at the Hartford Invitational and helped St. John's to a team title at the event on April 3. Following the performance, Kweon took home BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors. She also took sixth at the BIG EAST Championship, her second-straight season as the Johnnies' top finisher.
The senior closed out the fall season with two top-10 finishes. She notched second-place mark at the Quinnipiac Classic and finish tied for seventh at the UD Blue Hen Invitational.
No stranger to recognition from the conference office, Kweon was previously named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year in 2019.
