QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's golf team revealed its 2022 fall slate on Tuesday, as announced by Head Coach Ambry Bishop-Santillo. The Red Storm will compete in four fall tournaments over the span of two months.
The season will begin with the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club on Sep. 24-25. Last year, the Johnnies opened their campaign with this event and finished 12th. Veteran golfers Jessie Kweon and Angelica Kusnowo paced the Red Storm, each turning in a three-round score of 226 (+10).
Two weeks later, the Red Storm will travel to the Quinnipiac Classic at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn. on Oct. 10-11. Last season, St. John's took second at the event with Kweon finishing as the runner-up. The Little Neck, N.Y., native carded a 77-72-80 over three rounds to lead the charge.
The Lady Blue Hen Invitational will await the Red Storm a week later. The two-day tournament will commence at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. In 2021, the Johnnies placed eighth overall, shooting a combined score of 924 (+60) at the 54-hole event.
The St. John's squad will be making their first appearance at the Lehigh Invitational since 2019 when the team takes part in the event at Saucon Valley CC Grace Course in Bethlehem, Pa. on Oct. 24-25. The Red Storm squad took home the title that year, shooting a 615 (+39) through 36 holes. Kaitleen Shee posted her first individual championship of the season, carding a combined 152 (+8) to take home medalist honors.
