Thomas Finn Leads After Two Rounds of UConn Invitational at GreatHorse

Freshman sits at 2-under to lead the 78-golfer field
HAMPDEN, Mass. – The St. John's men's golfer Thomas Finn is in the lead at UConn Invitational at GreatHorse after two rounds.
The freshman turned in another impressive performance shooting a 1-under, 71, to move up three spots to take the top spot on the leaderboard. After 36 holes, Finn currently sits at 2-under, two strokes ahead of the next competitor in the 78-golfer field. Over the first two rounds, the Locust Valley, N.Y., native has logged six birdies and just four bogeys in Hampden, Mass.
As a team, St. John's checks in at sixth out of 13 schools with a cumulative score of 21-over, 597. The hosts UConn currently holds the team lead at 8-over, 584.
Ryan Rittberger came out firing in the opening nine holes on Monday, tallying three birdies. At the conclusion of the second round, the graduate student placed tied for 22rd overall at 5-over, 149 for the tournament.
Erik Stevens is currently tied for 32rd place at 8-over, 152, with one round left to play at GreatHorse.
The final round of the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse will begin tomorrow morning with live results available on GolfStat.
