St. John’s Finishes Out Day One at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational

Red Storm sits in ninth place
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- The St. John's women's golf team finished out play in the first two rounds of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Saturday.
The Red Storm currently sit in ninth place in the 11-school field and shot 47-over, 623, at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. The Johnnies improved their team score by 21 strokes in latter and shot a 13-over, 301, in the final 18 holes on Saturday.
The hosts, Delaware head into the clubhouse with the tournament lead checking in at 14-over par.
As she has all fall long, Xuan Khue Minh Doan leads the Red Storm after the first two rounds. The sophomore currently is tied for 22nd place after carding a 9-over, 153. The Hanoi, Vietnam native tallied a team-high 25 pars and shot the lowest round by a Red Storm player, 3-over, 75, in the second round.
Cloe Clocchiatti cracks the top-30 after to finishing 36 holes with a score of 11-over, 155.
Laia Barro led the team with four birdies on the oceanside links of Rehoboth, Del.
St. John's will compete in the final round tomorrow morning. Live results will be available on GolfGenius.
