Sophomore shoots 1-under in final round at Rehoboth Beach Country Club
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- The St. John's women's golf team concluded its fall slate on Sunday with the final round of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
The Red Storm tallied a 74-over, 938, over 54 holes at Rehoboth Beach Country Club to claim ninth place overall.
Harvard captured the team title carding a team score of 16-over, 880, through three rounds of play.
Xuan Khue Minh Doan was magnificent in Sunday's final round firing a 1-under, 71, on Sunday in Delaware. The sophomore recorded five birdies over the final 18 holes, the most by a Red Storm player in a single-round this season.
Overall, the Wofford transfer shot an 8-over, 224 and finished 15th overall at the two-day event. Minh Doan was the team's top finisher in all four events this in her first-ever action with the Red Storm.
Individual competitor Karen Beglin tallied a 37th place finish for the Johnnies on the heels of a strong third round. The junior shot a 3-over, 75, on Sunday.
St. John's has concluded the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule and will be back in action in February.
