St. John’s Tied for Second After Round One at Bucknell Invitational

Red Storm shot 2-over, 282, at Bucknell Golf Club on Sunday
LEWISBURG, Pa.– The St. John's men's golf team is tied for second place after round one at the Bucknell Invitational.
The Red Storm recorded a 2-over, 282, on Sunday at Bucknell Golf Club and trail Colgate by just a single-stroke in the 18-team field. Four Red Storm players recorded even par or better and placed tied for 17th or better after the initial 18 holes. As a team, the Johnnies recorded 57 pars and 15 birdies, the latter of which ranks second amongst the field.
Peicheng Chen finds himself near the top of the leaderboard once again after firing a 1-under, 69, in Lewisburg, Pa. The senior logged four birdies and sits three strokes off the individual lead as he seeks his third-straight individual title to begin the 2024-25 campaign.
Tyler Clark, Joseph Dolezal and David Mlynek all shot even par, 70, to tied for 17th place. Clark's score marks a season-low for the Fordham transfer. Mlynek led the squad with a team-best four birdies and Dolezal paced the Johnnies with 14 pars over 18 holes.
The second of three rounds at the Bucknell Invitational will begin tomorrow starting at 9 a.m. Live results will be available on Leaderboard King.
