Peicheng Chen finishes in seventh place

KAPOLEI, Hawaii- The St. John's men's golf team concluded its first tournament outside of the continental United States in 12 years on Thursday, wrapping up play at the Kapolei Invitational.

The Red Storm closed out with a total team score of 28-over, 892, to claim 12^th place at Kapolei Golf Club in Hawai'i.

Peicheng Chen finished the event with an even par, 216, to claim seventh place in the 87-golfer field. The senior this fall has placed inside the top-seven in all four events and took home medalist honors at The Doc Gimmler Red & Black and the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse. The Beijing, China native logged a team-high 12 birdies over three rounds.

Joseph Dolezal recorded the lowest round by a Johnnie on Thursday, carding a 1-over, 73, in the third and final round. The rookie ended the tournament with a 6-over, 222, and finished 35^th overall.

The Red Storm concluded its fall slate with a team championship at the Bucknell Invitational and a runner-up finish at its home event, The Doc Gimmler Red & Black. The Johnnies will be back on the course for the spring season in February 2025.
