QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's women's basketball team will travel to Indianapolis to take on Butler on Friday night at 7 p.m.
Joey Lindstrom and Amber Stocks will be on the call from historic Hinkle Fieldhouse on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports.
The Red Storm will head into Friday's contest with an 8-4 record in BIG EAST play and currently sit in third in the conference standings.
In its last contest, St. John's cut the deficit to as few as seven during the fourth quarter at No. 11/10 UConn, but ultimately fell, 78-63, at Gampel Pavilion.
Four players finished in double-figures in Storrs and the Red Storm logged 10 steals. The Johnnies shot 58.3 percent (14-24) from field goal range in the second half.
Ber'Nyah Mayo kept up her strong play during BIG EAST competition after logging a team-high 16 points on Sunday. The point guard has finished in double-figures in eight consecutive contests and is recording 14.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists over her last five games.
Unique Drake earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 19.0 points during a 1-1 week for the Red Storm. The redshirt senior earned her seventh honor by the league this season and had her 10th 20-plus point outing of the year after going off for 24 in the 67-55 win over Xavier on Jan. 31.
Both Butler and St. John's played a discipline brand of defense and rank top-two in the BIG EAST and top-15 nationally in fewest fouls per game.
St. John's will meet Butler for the second time this season and are seeking a sweep for the fifth-straight season. On Jan. 17, the Red Storm put on a defensive clinic limiting the Bulldogs to just 42 points, including only 16 in the second half. Offensively, St. John's shot a season-high 52.1 percent from the floor and seven players scored five points or more.
The Johnnies lead the all-time series that dates back a decade, 16-4, and have captured eight-straight wins over Butler. St. John's holds an all-time record of 8-2 on the road at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The Bulldogs enter Friday's contest with a 9-13 record on the year under second-year Head Coach Austin Parkinson. Butler holds a 1-10 mark in league competition and seek its first BIG EAST win since Jan. 24 when it throttled Xavier, 90-57.
In their last game, the Bulldogs led No. 22 Creighton at the half, 37-33, before the Bluejays scored 26 points in the third quarter to take control. Creighton ultimately defeated Butler, 75-65.

Jordan Meulemans is one of the most efficient 3-point shooters in the nation firing at a 44.2 percent clip, which ranks 14th in NCAA Division I.
After concluding the two-game road stint. The Red Storm will play three of its next four games in Queens as we near the homestretch. St. John's will welcome Seton Hall on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. tip at Carnesecca Arena.
