London Jarrard Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for Second Consecutive Week

The junior earns conference honor after opening BIG EAST series against Creighton

QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's softball's London Jarrard garnered a selection to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second consecutive week after her performance against Creighton.

The shortstop earns her fourth career honor roll selection after leading the Red Storm offense to open BIG EAST play against the Bluejays.

Jarrard went 4-for-9 (.444 average) with two runs scored, five RBIs, a double, a walk and only one strikeout across the three-game series.

In the series finale on Saturday, the Carlsbad, Calif., native went 2-for-2 from the dish with five RBIs and a walk to help lead St. John's to a 10-0 victory in five innings.

Jarrard has now tallied a conference-best 26 RBIs in 21 games. The junior leads the St. John's offense, slashing .333 /.638 /.410 with 23 hits, four home runs, seven doubles and a triple.

The Red Storm will continue its homestand on Wednesday with a doubleheader against Manhattan at 1 and 3 p.m. before taking on conference foe Butler on March 15-17.
