St. John's earned its fourth-straight victory on Tuesday with a 104-77 win at DePaul. The team's 104 points matched a program record in BIG EAST play, tying the 104 points scored in a 34-point victory over Providence on Feb. 15, 1999. Ledlum and Dingle led six Johnnies in double figures, each scoring a team-high 19 points while the duo combined to shoot 16-for-21 from the field.
In its last four wins, St. John's is averaging 89.0 points per game and has outscored its opponents by +17.3 points per contest. The Johnnies have also dished out 20.8 assists per game while averaging only 6.8 turnovers. Dingle has helped fuel the Red Storm's offensive explosion during this stretch, as the senior guard has posted a team-high 17.0 points per game and has shot 65.1 percent (28-43 FG) from the field.
The Red Storm returns to Madison Square Garden for the first time since downing then-No. 15 Creighton, 80-66, on Feb. 25. Jenkins led St. John's with 27 points, six assists and committed only one turnover. As a team, St. John's shot 50.0 percent (32-64) inside the 3-point arc and need only two 3-pointers to upend the nationally ranked Bluejays.
St. John's and Georgetown will meet for the second time in just over two weeks. In their first contest on Feb. 21 at Capital One Arena, the Johnnies defeated the Hoyas, 90-85, behind a season-high 22 points from Dingle. The Valley Stream, N.Y., native buried three 3-pointers in the win.
Georgetown enters Saturday's matchup having dropped its last three games, most recently falling to Providence, 71-58, on Tuesday. Jayden Epps led the Hoyas with 16 points and four steals against the Friars. Epps has paced the Hoyas averaging 18.7 points in road games this season.
St. John's will return to Madison Square Garden next week for the 2024 BIG EAST Tournament. With a win over Georgetown on Saturday, St. John's can secure either the No. 5 or No. 6 seed for the conference tournament.
