St. John’s Unveils 2024 Women’s Soccer Schedule

Head Coach Ian Stone releases 18-game slate beginning on Aug. 18
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's soccer program has unveiled its 18-game schedule for the 2024 season on Monday.
The slate features eight non-conference matches, including five at home and 10 BIG EAST contests. The schedule features four NCAA Tournament teams in 2023 and out-of-league opponents from five different conferences.
Admission is free for all fans and the broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.
For the fifth-straight season, the Red Storm will begin its campaign on home turf welcoming Colgate on Aug. 18. The match will kick-off at 1 p.m. from Belson Stadium as the program seeks its 13th consecutive home opening win.
The first road match of the season takes the Johnnies to Maryland to meet the defending 2023 CAA Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Towson. The two programs will square off for the first time since 2016 on Aug. 22 at Tiger Field at 6 p.m.
Six days later, the Johnnies will meet their first of three Ivy League opponents on the schedule when they head to Yale. The contest from Reese Stadium in New Haven, Conn. will commence at 7 p.m. The two sides met in 2023 at Belson Stadium and battled to a 2-2 draw courtesy of a Nicole Gordon equalizer in the 53rd minute.
Following the trip to Yale, Head Coach Ian Stone's squad will return to Queens for a four-game homestand, the program's longest of the season. The Red Storm will welcome Saint Joseph's for a Labor Day Weekend tilt on Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. before hosting UAlbany on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
The following week, St. John's will face Monmouth on Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. for the first time in 20 years. The group will close the home stint on Sept. 12 against Cornell for a 1 p.m. Sunday matinee.
The Red & White will close its non-conference slate with a visit to its third and final Ivy League opponent in Penn on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. St. John's will make the return trip after downing the Quakers, 1-0, fueled by a Jessica Garziano tally.
The Johnnies will begin conference competition on Sept. 22 when UConn pays a visit to the Big Apple for a 1 p.m. tilt for the 29thmeeting between the two schools.
On Sept. 26, the Red Storm will venture to Providence for a rematch of last year's BIG EAST Tournament First Round. The BIG EAST battle from Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start time.
Three days later, the group will return home for a showdown with local foe Seton Hall for a 1 p.m. kick-off at Belson Stadium. The Johnnies have won 11 of their last 13 contests against the Pirates. The following match will see Marquette come to town on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. In the last meeting, the Red Storm snapped a seven-match winless streak with a dominant 3-0 triumph in Milwaukee.
St. John's will then hit the road for a pair of tilts at four-time reigning BIG EAST Champions, Georgetown on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. and a visit to Villanova on Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
Up next is a matchup with Xavier in Queens on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. St. John's holds a 7-4-1 all-time record against the Musketeers since they joined the league in 2013.
A two-game road swing to the Midwest is to follow as the squad will head to Butler on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. and DePaul on Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. ET.
The Johnnies will close the regular season on Halloween when they welcome Creighton for a 7 p.m. finale. The Red Storm captured a magical win over the Bluejays in Omaha last year as Angelina Scoma's 87th minute game-winner propelled to a 3-2 victory.
Following the regular season, St. John's will look to qualify for its fourth-straight postseason. Dates, times and locations for the 2024 BIG EAST Women's Soccer Championships will be announced at a later date.
