St. John’s Posts Strong Second Round at UConn Invitational

Red Storm slid up into sixth place after carding 4-over on Monday
HAMPDEN, Mass. – The St. John's men's golf squad logged a strong second round at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse on Monday.
The Red Storm slid up the leaderboard and currently sit in sixth place after carding an impressive 4-over, 292, as a team. The squad has registered a 15-over, 591, through first two rounds at GreatHorse.
Peicheng Chen continues to linger near the top of the standings ranking tied for fifth overall in the 78-golfer field with a cumulative score of 2-under, 142 through 36 holes. The senior was consistent on Monday firing two birdies, 15 pars and a bogey to tally a 1-under, 71, for the second-straight day. The Beijing, China native ranks tied for first amongst the field with 28 pars.
Joseph Dolezal had a strong penultimate round for the Johnnies logging an even par, 72, tallying three birdies The freshman sits 2-over, 74. The freshman sits tied for 15th place heading into the final round.
Tyler Clark recorded a 2-over, 74, to move up to 41st place, while Douglas Beney shot a season-low 3-over, 75, on Monday.
