QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's volleyball team (9-18, 5-9 BIG EAST) will wrap up the 2025 campaign over the weekend with a home-and-away series. On Friday evening, the Red Storm welcome No. 12 Creighton (21-5, 14-0 BIG EAST) to Queens for Senior Night, with celebrations beginning at 6:45 p.m. as the program honors the careers of the four graduating seniors: Martina Ghezzi, Erin Jones, Lucrezia Lodi and Ludovica Zola. On Sunday, Nov. 16, the Johnnies travel across the Hudson River to conclude the 2025 season at Seton Hall. First serve against the Pirates is set for 1 p.m.
Friday's match in Carnesecca Arena will air on ESPN+, as Johnny Gadamowitz and Paige Band are on the call for the final home match of the season. Entering this weekend, Jones is two digs away from becoming the first player in BIG EAST history to record 1,000 career kills, assists and digs, and the second active player across the NCAA (regardless of division) to accomplish the feat.
St. John's wrapped up its final Midwest road swing with a split weekend, falling at Marquette on Friday night before bouncing back with a win at DePaul on Saturday afternoon. The Red Storm opened the weekend with a 3-0 loss to Marquette at the Al McGuire Center. Chloe Bell led the offense with a career-high-tying 10 kills on .471 hitting, while Ghezzi also reached 10 kills. Previously against Seton Hall, St. John's secured a 3-1 victory to earn its first BIG EAST home win of the season. Jones and Capponcelli split setting duties, tallying 20 assists apiece, while Solano Smith anchored the defense with 16 digs. Capponcelli also added a career-best four service aces.
Heading into the final weekend, No. 12 Creighton has solidified itself in the BIG EAST Conference Tournament. With a 21-5 overall record and a perfect 14-0 record in league play, the Bluejays sit atop the conference standings.
In their last five matches at Carnesecca Arena, Creighton is 4-1. The last time the Red Storm topped the Bluejays in Queens was back in October of 2021, in a 3-1 win over then-No. 16 Creighton. The win still serves as the program's most recent victory over a ranked opponent.

Head Coach Bryan Rosen is in his inaugural season at the helm of the Creighton volleyball program and owns a 1-0 record against the Johnnies.
Seton Hall enters the final weekend with a 6-19 record this season and is winless in BIG EAST play. This will be the second meeting between the Pirates and the Red Storm this season. In their last five trips to Walsh Gymnasium, the Johnnies are 3-2, and over the last 10 matches between the two teams, St. John's holds a 6-4 advantage.
