QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's men's basketball team will wrap the non-conference portion of its schedule against Harvard on Tuesday at Carnesecca Arena.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. on FS1 with Jake Marsh and Donny Marshall on the call from Queens. John Minko and Brandon Tierney will handle broadcasting duties on the LEARFIELD Red Storm Sports Network, available on the ESPN New York app, the Varsity Network app, TuneIn, Sirius XM 117 or 206, the SiriusXM app and the St. John's Red Storm app.
Tickets are sold out to the general public. As of Monday afternoon, fewer than 100 student tickets remain and can be claimed by clicking here.
St. John's (7-4, 1-0 BIG EAST) will compete for the final time this season at Carnesecca Arena when it hosts Harvard (6-6) on Tuesday night. The Red Storm's five contests this season in Queens are tied for the second fewest in the program's history since the building officially opened in December of 1961. The Red Storm's nine remaining regular season games, all against BIG EAST foes, will be contested at Madison Square Garden.
The Red Storm has won 18 straight games at Carnesecca Arena dating back to the start of the 2023-24 season. The Johnnies' current winning streak is fifth longest in the building's history and the longest since a 27-game streak from 1997-2001. In those 18 games since the hiring of Hall of Fame Head Coach Rick Pitino, the Johnnies boast a 24.5-point average margin of victory. Against non-league opponents, that margin balloons to 27.7.
After falling to Kentucky in Atlanta on Saturday in the CBS Sports Classic, St. John's dropped out of the Associated Press Top 25 poll for the first time since Jan. 13, 2025, snapping a streak of 17 straight appearances in the rankings. That streak was tied for the fifth longest in program history.
Saturday's defeat at the hands of the Wildcats marked the first of the season for St. John's against an unranked opponent. Kentucky still sits solidly in several metrics, checking in at no. 18 in KenPom and no. 22 in the NET on Monday. The Wildcats were the first team among "others receiving votes" in Monday's AP poll, just one voting point behind Iowa in 25th.
Harvard enters Tuesday's game with a record of 6-6 after defeating Holy Cross, 81-53, on Saturday at Lavietes Pavilion. Four Harvard players finished in double figures against the Crusaders led by Austin Hunt with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including a 3-for-4 showing from beyond the arc.
Four members of the Crimson are averaging double figures paced by Robert Hinton at 16.8 points per game.
Harvard plays at one of the nation's slowest tempos, ranking 334th out of 365 teams according to KenPom.
The Johnnies and the Crimson will meet for the fifth time in a series history that dates back to 1969. The two teams also played last season at Carnesecca Arena, a 77-64 St. John's victory on Nov. 30. St. John's is 4-0 all-time against Harvard and has won seven straight games against Ivy League foes dating back to the start of the 2010-11 season.
The Red Storm will return to BIG EAST action on Wednesday, Dec. 31, when it travels to Georgetown for an 8 p.m. contest on FS1 and 1050 AM ESPN New York.
