Men’s Golf to Partake in the Babygrande Golf Donald Ross Collegiate

The three-round tournament will begin on Monday morning at Mid Pines Golf Club in Pinehurst
QUEENS, N.Y. – Fresh off a second-place finish at the Sacred Heart Spring Invite, the St. John's men's golf team will head to the 54-hole Babygrande Golf Donald Ross Collegiate in Pinehurst N.C.
The Red Storm will play in the two-day, three-round event from March 10-11 at the Mid Pines Golf Club. Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament on SCOREBOARD.
The Johnnies will compete in a 20-team field that includes three BIG EAST squads and several programs that are ranked in the top 100.
In the Red Storm's outing last weekend at the Sacred Heart Spring Invite, the Johnnies notched a second-place finish in Fleming Island, Fla. St. John's carded 21-over, 597 and finished just one stroke behind tournament champion Sacred Heart. Peicheng Chenfinished the 36-hole event at 1-under, 143, to take second place, his fifth top-3 finish in six stroke play events this season. David Mlynekturned in a team-low, 2-over, 74, during Thursday's final round. The junior tied for seventh place after concluding the event in the Sunshine State with a 6-over, 150.
Following this week's tournament in North Carolina, the Johnnies will head to Pawley's Island S.C., for the GolfWeek Invitational at True Blue Golf Club.
