Adam Agresti Named to 2025 Buster Posey Award Midseason Watch List

Agresti was selected to the watch list with 56 other Division I catchers
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's catcher Adam Agresti has been named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Midseason Watch List, as announced by the Wichita Sports Commission on Friday.
It marks the third time in as many seasons a Red Storm catcher has been named to the watch list. Agresti joined 56 other players vying for the country's top-catching honor and is the sole member of the BIG EAST to be tabbed to the list.
On the season, Agresti is slashing .202/.341/.404 on 21 hits, including six doubles, five homers and 23 total free passes. The 6-foot-3 sophomore has also tallied 20 runs, 15 RBIs and a stolen base through 37 games. Defensively, Agresti has caught six runners stealing in 2025.
If Agresti were to be a semifinalist for the highly coveted award, the Wichita Sports Commission will release their semifinalist list on May 19.
Agresti and the Red Storm will return to the diamond on Sunday to polish off its conference series with UConn. First pitch from Jack Kaiser Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
