St. John’s Athletic Director to serve on influential national panel
QUEENS, N.Y.– St. John's Vice President and Director of Athletics Ed Kull has been appointed to the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association Executive Committee for the 2025-26 academic year, it was announced on Tuesday by the organization.
Entering its 25th year of existence, the Division I-AAA ADA seeks to enhance initiatives common to its members who do not sponsor football. In particular, the Division I-AAA ADA executive committee places a specific emphasis on flagship basketball programs at its member institutions.
"I'm honored to be selected as a member of this prestigious and important national committee," said Kull. "We will work tirelessly to make sure that institutions like St. John's who put the highest emphasis on basketball will continue to occupy a place in prominence in this new era of college athletics."

Kull returned to St. John's last fall and has made his presence felt across all aspects of the school's 17 varsity programs. A gifted administrator and revenue generator, Kull has helped position the Red Storm for success in the era of revenue sharing and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), shattering fundraising records and building upon the excitement of the St. John's Men's Basketball team's memorable 2024-25 season under Hall of Fame Head Coach Rick Pitino, which featured the program's first BIG EAST Tournament title since 2000 and its first outright BIG EAST Regular Season Championship since 1985.
Season tickets for the 2025-26 men's and women's basketball campaigns are on sale now. Fans can also purchase an MSG-only men's basketball ticket plan, as the Red Storm will host a dozen regular season games at "The World's Most Famous Arena" for the first time in more than 70 years.
