St. John’s Sits in Sixth Place at Metropolis Intercollegiate

Freshman Eli Weidmann impressed in his collegiate debut checking in at third place
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's golf team sits in sixth place at the Metropolis Intercollegiate after its opening two rounds of the 2025-26 season on Monday.
The Red Storm shot a 23-over, 583, over the first 36 holes in White Plains. The Johnnies impressed in the second round carding an 8-over, 288.
In his collegiate debut, Eli Weidmann shined at Metropolis Country Club shooting an even par, 140, to take sole possession of third place in the 84-golfer field. The Murphys, Calif., native shot a 2-under in Monday's final round to move up the leaderboard. The rookie is one shot behind Rylin Petry of North Dakota State and Siena's KC Nickel for the tournament-lead.
Another rookie, Max McColgan sits inside the top-15 on the leaderboard after logging a 5-over, 145 through 36 holes, shooting even par in his latter round. Sophomore Joseph Dolezal checks in tied for 23rd after registering a 7-over, 147.
The Red Storm will return to the course for Tuesday's final round at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring will be available on SCOREBOARD.
