Men’s Golf Opens 2025-26 Campaign at Metropolis Intercollegiate

St. John’s will tee off at 8:45 a.m. on Monday at Metropolis Country Club
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's men's golf team will open up its 2025-26 campaign on Monday morning when it completes in Metropolis Intercollegiate in White Plains, N.Y.
The Red Storm will begin its season at Metropolis Country Club in the two-day, three-round event hosted by Columbia on Sept. 8-9. Shotgun start will begin at 8:45 a.m. and live scoring will be available throughout the tournament on SCOREBOARD.
St. John's will compete in a 15-team field against- Columbia, Bryant, Connecticut, Dartmouth, FDU, Fordham, Holy Cross, Iona, Lafayette, North Dakota State, Richmond, Siena, Towson and Yale.
The Red Storm line-up will feature three true freshmen as Joseph Dolezal, Max McColgan, Eli Weidmann, Matthew DiFiore and Tyler Clark will score for the Johnnies. Sophomore Frank Wu will compete as an individual.
The Red Storm enter its fourth season under the direction of Head Coach Phil Wildermuth, who has guided a player to NCAA Regional qualification in three consecutive years. St. John's graduated two-time NCAA Regional qualifier Peicheng Chen but returns four contributors from last year's team in David Mlynek, Dolezal, Wu and Clark. In addition, Wildermuth added three talented rookies in Dolezal, McColgan and Weidmann.
