QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's team is scheduled for a two-match slate against Hofstra and Yale this weekend.
The Johnnies will welcome Hofstra (1-2) to the USTA National Tennis Center on Friday before traveling to the Bronx for a matchup with Yale (7-1) at the Cary Leeds Center. First serve against the Pride is scheduled for 12:15 p.m., while Sunday's contest against the Bulldogs is set to begin at 2:45 p.m.
Last weekend, the Red Storm turned in a pair of dominant performances sweeping Rider and Monmouth at home. The Johnnies blanked Rider, 7-0, surrendering just one set across singles and doubles play.
St. John's followed with another decisive victory over Monmouth, blanking the Hawks, 4-0, behind standout performances from Nao Kojima and Alicia Gomez. With the two wins, the Johnnies improved to 4-2 overall on the season.
Hofstra returns to Queens for the fifth consecutive season and the seventh meeting between the programs since 2017. St. John's has claimed each of the previous six matchups. The Pride opened its campaign with a tightly contested 4-3 victory over New Haven before falling to Rhode Island and Bryant in its next two outings.
Yale, coming off a 12-11 campaign in 2025, has started the 2026 season strong with a 7-1 record, highlighted by an ECAC Indoor Championship last weekend. The Bulldogs are paced by a 2025 First Team All-Ivy selection Orly Ogilvy who holds a 4-2 singles mark and a perfect 7-0 doubles record alongside Leena Friedman.
This weekend's contest marks the eighth meeting between the two programs dating back to 2009. The Johnnies last defeated the Bulldogs on Feb.5, 2017, earning a 5-2 victory.
Following this weekend's slate, St. John's will open BIG EAST play by hosting UConn at the USTA National Tennis Center on Feb. 20. First serve is scheduled for 12:15 p.m.
