Danilo Raicevic and Radomir Tomic Named BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week

Red Storm duo earns their first conference honor of the season
NEW YORK – St. John's men's tennis' duo of Danilo Raicevic and Radomir Tomic were named the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The duo posted a perfect 3-0 record over the weekend, earning victories against Cleveland State and BIG EAST opponents Butler and Xavier to help the Red Storm secure a 3-0 weekend.
The honor marks the first BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week selection for the pair. It is the second of Raicevic's career and the first for Tomic.
Raicevic and Tomic opened the weekend with a 6-3 victory over Cleveland State's Tristan Stine and Maxime Aremon. The pair followed with another 6-3 win over Butler's Riccardo Baldi and Arnesh Singh.
The Johnnies capped off the weekend with a 6-2 triumph over Xavier's Samuel Frizelle and Max Pettingell, helping St. John's improve to 2-0 in BIG EAST play and 9-1 overall.
Following the trio of victories over the weekend, the Red Storm will travel to the Sunshine State to face Mercer in Fort Myers, Fla. First serve time will be announced at a later date.
